Dime won a charvel like that first one in his last guitar competition. It used to get abused by everyone who came over to his mom's house. Badass guitar for sure. And I would have killed for that bass back then. Shit,I'd love to have any of those guitars now.

As good as that one is, my ‘keeper’ is an 09 USA Plum SoCal that has outplayed everything including 2 customs, one from Psychodave who knows his Charvels. When you get a magical one, never let go.

Suhrs are fantastic as well...you can order them with the Charvel neck profile. It's just preference...The Suhrs I've played did not have the Charvel neck profile, so I'd take the Charvel Custom over those of course. I'd have to play a Suhr with the same neck as a Charvel and see...they both use the best woods and the Charvel customs are built by the same guys who built them in the early 80s. Suhrs seem more 'blingy' than Charvel customs, the the 2 Suhrs I played I'd be afraid to ding up at a gig.
