Then you better correct the reporters in the above news piece.

Here us some info for you to chew on first........official Chinese data shows that the US accounted for 2.74 per cent of China's GDP in 2023, and that percentage increased to 2.84 of China's GDP in 2024.
A simple Google search can show you the way Mike. A hint though. The percentage of Chinese exports and the percentage of GDP are two wildly different things. 😉

It shows the impact it will have on China. Which is close to zero.

What if the BRICS partners don't trade in US dollars?

They don't care about US dollars.

Then they're money is still pretty worthless.
Only to the US.

Also, take our Canadian dollar for example.....it is very advantageous to have a dollar that is much less than the US dollar......just ask Wizard and Morris amp's owners.....nice to charge customers in US dollars when you live in Canada....pocket an extra 30% or so on conversion....sweet titties!!!

Our export businesses love weak Can dollar to US dollar....pure profit for them!!!

If it works for y'all up there and you can pocket a few extra bucks with the exchange rate, then great. Personally I'd rather my money have more purchasing power.

That’s very incorrect Mike.
You should do a little more research on it bro.
The US accounts for 15% of China's exports. Given they can redirect some of them to other markets and the US won't be able to avoid them completely it won't have much impact on them.

He's become part of the extreme left that would gloat if the US failed even if it meant repercussions to his own country.
I'm from the extreme right and would gloat at this point because you treat your friends (ex-friends) like arseholes.

We are their largest trading partner. Nobody doing business says "well we lost our biggest customer, no big deal tho"

You guys allow your anger of getting tariffed, which are just and right, to cloud your logic.

Only because you've been treating us like that for years. Like a bully who gets socked in the nose now you are mad cause you been put in your place.

You still only account for 15% of their exports. They can restructure their exports around that. You're in deep shit.

350 million people vs what 8 billion of us in the world. You are going to lose this time.

Nothing is ever that simple.
Oh but it is. The Chinese have you bent over in the prison shower block mate. You can't make their stuff instantly. You've shit in the bed before you have another set of clean sheets available. You'll be screwed.

Oh but it is.
You can't make up for it by exporting junk goods to the 2nd and 3rd world at 2nd and 3rd world prices. And we can also threaten tariffs on nations who decide to collude with them in trade deals. Good luck.

Say goodbye to all your tech products. Where do you think they come from and the chips. Apple will be screwed for starters. I'm sure places like IBM and HP get them from there too.
