Clean Boost - Suhr Koko or MK 4.23

Got the Koko.
It's far from a clean boost. It can boost the mids in isolation. The level boost comes with added distortion that has its own character.
Works well with an amp that needs a push or a mid boost, but it adds hair that you may or may not like with WYH.

I've used a Koko, a Catalinbread, and a TC Spark but I bought the MK as per V's recommendation... It totally kills. It's ULTRA transparent and with the dial between 10 and 12 it simply fattens things up a little bit... moving past 1 o'clock and things start to get nice and hot but still transparent.

I've tried the koko and I liked it, but it wasn't the type of set-it-and-forget-it boost that I needed. I used the koko more like a drive pedal... changes the flavour of your sound instead of simply boosting—as a standalone boost it wasn't for me. If you like your tone but just want more of it, get the MK.

The Koko is personally on my short list...of course the damn things never show up used in my area (so they must be all that lol) as I have a Timmy for clean boosting and a BB Preamp for its thing. What I don't have is that mid boost vibe in a pedal so after all the positive word of mouth and youtube clips, its the Koko for me, just hate paying full price for a new one but may have to, heh.
