I learned pretty quickly that the only way to get what I wanted was to use a dual mixer setup. Most effects in parallel into the first mixer, then two really good multi-effects into the second mixer, somethings that can do a really good delay and a great reverb. In my case, Lexicon and Eventide. And never forgetting that there's a dry loop around the whole thing.
