They are probably just trying to escape from America. :p
Not a chance. They all love me. I am the bird whisperer bro. I have a family of what I thought was four, but I found out tonight is five, pileated woodpeckers who live on my property. Hairies, downeys, red heads, red bellies. Along with a million other cool ass birds. I got feeders and bird baths coming out my ass and probably drop a couple hundo every month on suet and bird seed. They would all stay here all year ( some do, like the woodpeckers) if they could. When it gets down to around 50 overnight hummingbirds, gold finches, indigos and a bunch of other cool ones head south.

Sounds awesome. Meanwhile we have deer, bunnies and one stubborn skunk who we cannot evict from our property.

Got all that too. And coyotes, groundhogs, squirrels ( gray and fox) and an occasional bobcat.

The skunks are great. Cute as fuck. I don't have dogs running around outside being dogs so the skunks don't bother us. My property is more or less a sanctuary from the fucking stray cats. I chase cats out. I don't hurt them I just throw shit at them, intentionally missing them, but scaring them. I love cats, I have cats of my own. I just think people need to keep them inside. Little murderous fuckers.

Yup, yup. I'll never forget the day 6 baby groundhogs crawled out from under our porch, one after the other. We have a few stray kitties but the biggest problem is neighbors letting their dogs get out. I've picked up at least a half dozen over the years and returned them to their homes.

Well, we've run the table on animal love, I guess. :ROFLMAO:

Groundhogs are supremely destructive. I would keep them out from under the porch if possible.

Feral cats are the single largest cause of wild-animal and bird deaths in Australia.

I've forgotten the stats but they're mind-boggling.

Carbon dioxide must be more of a problem 'though 'cause that's all we hear about.

Finally, the thread that will solve the anthropogenic climate change question once and for all.
It will devolve into the same thing. It always does.
Someone will bring up some National Geographic article that says we were gonna enter an ice age as if anyone even remotely familiar with science or history doesn’t know that we never fucking left one.
Then they will make a comment about Al Gore or Taylor Swift’s jet

Just looked up the stats at a gubment website:

They kill over 1.5 billion native mammals, birds, reptiles and frogs, and 1.1 billion invertebrates each year.

I also remember being warned that if we keep drilling for oil, we were going to run out.

Sort of.

We could run out of the reserves we know of in a few decades.
That doesn’t imply there isn’t more out there to be found.
It is quite obviously a limited resource though

Not true, I believe in Climate Change.

I wouldn't argue that the climate changes here 4 times a year.

After our chat about the atmosphere on Mars I can never be sure if you are being serious anymore
