Ok... got around to properly recording the 12000 and El Cap echo. This is my Suhr Scott Henderson Strat - I love it!

I DARE anyone to get through this entire clip...

CLIP!

Yes... this could be the worst version of this ever recorded...

...and yes, I'm quite aware of all the noise my Mojo Vibe is making when I turned it on... too lazy to fix it! :D

That sounded awesome Steve! Wow! I love the way those El Capistan's sounds. great playing from start to finish.

Sounds great Steve! Damn you guys are making me want to try this El Capistan and it's not cheap.

Sounds great

My bandmates want me to learn that tune...seems like a lot to take on though

Dude , That sounded awesome!! I had no trouble making it thru the whole thing  !! These are the kind of clips I really dig, dont get too much of that on here, usually thrash w/cookie monster. Everything sounded great and you may have answered my question on 10000 or 12000, I was wondering if the 12000 could do some more laid back type tunes or not. Thanks alot for posting this, you

Much appreciated, bro! The El Capistan is killer. I also forgot to mention that I'm using a Badgerplex Pre as well. Just seems to add some sparkle or something. I have to turn the Mix on the El Capistan way down (9 o'clock or so) compared to what other people have posted as settings or else it is completely overwhelming. I just want a taste of it...

I actually had the amp pretty much cranked for this - a very distorted tone. I controlled the overall volume with the PPIMV and just rolled back the volume on the guitar to about 4 for the intro and between 6 and 7 for the lead guitar - cleans up really, really well.

Not cheap, but I haven't heard anything that comes close as far as replicating an Echoplex, especially when combined with the Badgerplex Pre...

Thanks! Yeah, as I said, I recorded this with the amp set for a VERY distorted tone and just rolled back the guitar volume. This amp cleans up incredibly well as any good Plexi clone should...

Hey, I recommend you do what I did. LIsten to it once, learn none of it, and then just make it up as you go along.

I'm quite certain I'm not even playing that intro correctly at all, but hey, I prefer not to actually learn anything and just wing it now...

I believe that is the best and funnest way to play guitar. Interpret it your own way, create a style for yourself.

I know guys in bands that are incredible at learning things note for note (I can never do that) and they have no idea how to write an original idea and don't understand the notes on their neck as well as they should...they just become repeaters IMO...have no improv skills.
