You're more of an "experimental" guy
I didn’t say I didn’t take the medicine because of Joe, I was commenting on his effect on the perception of the medication.

I didn’t take it because I never got Covid

I mean you can stand up for Joe all you want, but it’s pretty tough to ignore, in a discussion about ivermectin, the media and social response (I.e getting canceled) to him.

Most people heard about ivermectin first because of the whole thing, so it certainly influenced their perception on it.

Yeah-the horse dewormer thing never gained traction till that one episode. Do I think it was a viable treatment? Hell yeah. Last time we got the rona I bought some. Liquid....straight out the mini fridge at the farm store. For my wife and myself-seemed to have the same effect as the antigen treatment the first time we had covid. Then my buddies elderly parents got it. I gave it to him and he treated them with it and they never developed any serious symptoms. I do think that some people are just resistant to it as well.

also did the vitamin protocol also. no queercetin or whatever that shits called. you can't find that anywhere.

I honestly don’t know much about the stuff. I don’t know anyone personally who has taken it, but I also can’t say I’ve heard anything bad about people who have taken it either.

There are a lot of popular things that became popular for things different than what they were designed for, so it doesn’t really bother me that it’s intended use was as a horse de-wormer

It was designed for humans but is used on animals here mainly because we don't have a lot of the bugs that it's used to treat versus a 3rd world country. I assume that anyway....lol...

From what I’ve gathered it has been cleared for human use since the 80s, but as a treatment for parasites. I guess it’s a popular lotion for lice too.
But the way I see it, the fact that it’s available otc for horses is pretty scary because even though humans can take it, it’s certainly not meant for “self medicating”. It is potentially very toxic, and panicking taking horse doses is not a good thing

nah bro-dosage is based on body weight. It's pretty harmless from what I've been told. Like anything you can poison or overdose yourself. Regular antibiotics are otc for animals. Never saw a southern states when I lived in NE but I'm sure you have tractor supply or farm and fleet. Should be able to get them there.

Ivermectin: A Drug Worthy of a Nobel Prize

“The effectiveness of ivermectin against many diseases associated with poverty makes it a candidate to be one of the next breakthroughs in global health owing to its potential for improving quality of life and reducing mortality rates in low-income countries.”

It’s tough to find older articles touting how great a medicine it is since COVID. Search engines apparently deranked everything.

That’s what I’m saying, it is easy to get a hold of, and all the instructions are for horses. it is safe for people, but buying it OTC, from the live stock isle means that people have to figure out the dosage themselves.
Very dangerous compared to a doctor just prescribing it correctly. Also I can’t say if the dosage for parasites is the same for covid

? you’re kind of an idiot
Show me where it was not originally intended for horses, and I will happily step away from the convo. Yes it’s been cleared for humans since, but it hit the market for horses first
In the meantime, I’ll be playing my new guitar

Show me where it was. While the first application may have been in horses, that is different from the “Intentions” of it’s discoverers.

It was introduced in 1971 as a dewormer, then approved for human use 15 YEARS LATER as a prescribed parasite treatment.

Again, show me the "Intentions" of the discovers. You seem to be saying they were looking to create a new horse-deworming agent.

Lol just admit you were wrong and move on man. I never said humans shouldn’t take it, and I never said it wasn’t a good treatment for covid, just that it was originally meant for farm animals (which it was). It’s just like I said before, if you are balls deep in your agenda you can’t look at things objectively. Pull out and take a deep breath.

No need to apologize for calling me an idiot

Show me and "I'll move on."
