Are they? I work in NYC and I haven’t noticed anyone leaving yet!
Commuting across the hudson and living across the E. River are 2 different lifestyles.

Have you noticed change of demographic in the boros
Have you been to the inner boros like
bay ridge, bensonhurst, Astoria, ridgewood etc in the last 15 years

I grew up there and dont recognize it anymore

How do you think this idiot got elected

Actually i shouldn't call him that hes a pretty bright and articulate Communist.

I know full-well that that's how he paints himself.

He had no choice - that's the only way he had a chance of being elected. Stating that you're a communist gives you zero hope of being elected in any State in the US, at least, so far...

I have not seen Mamdani advocating for single-party control over the political system or the complete centralization of the economy under government control.

Correct, because he couldn't right-now; it wouldn't make sense.

You gots ta gain the political capital first in terms of trust and more-importantly, elected bums on seats.

We'll see. Till then, plenty of folks will cry "communist" and he will just go about his work making New York better. Cheers mate

IMHO his remark about "rugged individualism" in his acceptance speech is the most-damning public / official giveaway thus far.

That's not socialism; it's communism and the statement will come back to haunt him IMHO.

As you said, we'll see. :dunno:

I highly doubt it. The statement seems fine and no one who voted for him will be bothered by that. But, I can respectfully agree to disagree with you on that.

To be honest, Zohran learned from Trump that there are certain trigger words and phrases that will make the opposition lose their minds. And dropping them into a speech is a great way to make them look like bedwetting freaks. And then his supporters can say he was "only trolling".

That kind of shit works both ways. We just happen to finally have someone on our side who can play that game.

Easy to say when you are not an American.
You don't have to face the consequences
