I am interested in both of these heads, I already owned a mk50 which was great but wish it had a seperate clean channel. The Elmwood m60 clips sound killer also. From what I hear on the you tube clips they are similar in tone. Anyone out there fimilar with both heads? Looking for the one with the mids voiced similar to a marshall, I'm not into the modern stuff. Any info apprecitated. Thanks

I don't know if this will be much help but, I have an m-90 and I just love it it can do modern but thats not what I got it for. I have been told that guys who have the cornford want the elmo and that guys that have the elmo want the cornford. The m-90 reminds me of a super hotroded marshall. I am very happy with the m-90...

never played a M60, but i'd take a MK50 II over the M90.

both sound great and have thier own thing. the MK feels better to play, but 34's in the M60 might level the playing field there?

but as far as features, the MK50 II blows away the Elmwoods. 2 footswitchible loops and the ability to run EL34's or 6L6's!

the Cornford loops are serial. the Elmwood loop has a mix knob, and claims parallel to serial.

If I was you and you could take the time and go to some highend dealers such as Josh at Rebelamps and Rob at Tone Merchants, both of them carry the cornford & elmwood. They are both great guys to deal with you could not go wrong with either. And if you can't give them a call either will point you in the right direction. Plus they are both forum members here....H&H
