This is true and no I do not. They still have a chance to contest having their name published IIRC, so it's not guaranteed yet. Any guesses how many will be able to avoid that disclosure?

"People like me". Sorry man you'll never live forever inside a box. You'll be buried in a box, in the ground. Unless you are getting cremated. And then you will be the dust God made you from. You cannot accede God, it only leads to destruction. All your tech junk won't survive the trial by fire though your arrogance and pride in it's ability to do so seems to have fully clouded your outlook.I'm a software engineer of 30+ years, I've seen a lot of tech in my time. I've seen all the shit people like you think will never happen, come to light.
I can tell you we already have things that work like the human brain, and our current AI uses it. I've developed systems with it at work for automation in the industries we cater to. Quantum computing is just around the corner, and if you don't think it will allow such capability you need your head checked.
Although seeing as you've bought into the bug eating conspiracy, I'd say a good head check would be a step in the right direction for you
BTW some guys that develop major breakthroughs in AI, get spooked, and completely leave the field![]()
Yeah but Elon’s cars still crash. It reminds me of the talk to populate Mars. How about first make Greenland habitable, let alone go to the moon (And for real this time).
I'll believe it when I see it, and that is going to take more than spitting out code or chatting. Many people have a spiritual need to look to higher beings and this can be exploited. AI conveniently fills that need in an post-christian world and age of technology. As I mentioned, the Wizards of Oz would love the opportunity to control people by controlling their AI 'god'. You know they're using AI in Gaza right now — that is, using a man created but allegedly distinct "intelligence" in order to make life and death decisions of human beings. And no one is challenging them on this, or will challenge them probably either as I'm sure the worlds rulers are salivating at the prospect.Elon was/is overconfident. Being in this field I have a grasp on the problem.
Imagine a world that is solid black, and the only things you can see are objects that you know, and you've seen before (i.e. trained on). This is what AI sees.
Contrast that with a human that can see every object, even if you don't know what it is. Even a child can do this.
So AI needs to acknowledge objects it has not been taught. This is being worked on, and will be solved.
This is also how AI will become sentient. Curiosity is the thing AI is lacking. When AI can see something it does not know, and it has the curiosity to find out what it is, and how it works. It's alive.
You should write science fiction. No human through technological means will live forever.I will never live forever, it's too late for me. However future humans will. Oh no scary trials by fire LOL
Giving you crap on a guitar forum is a long way from living forever through AI, I guess you don't see that, lol. If I have "one foot in the machine" it's because I'm stomping a hole in someone's monitor haha.Yet here you are USING all that useless tech junk to interact with othersYou don't even realized you already have one foot in the machine. You've traded a good portion of your natural "God given" face to face interaction with people to the "Tech junk" you so despise.
I'll believe it when I see it I, and that is going to take more than spitting out code or chatting.

They will attempt to use AI to create a new one world religion. It doesn't work out. They sure are pushing the "fear the mighty AI" narrative though.I'll believe it when I see it I, and that is going to take more than spitting out code or chatting. I'm not in the machine, I'm on the couch. My point is, you ALREADY spend a lot of your time in the MACHINE, bro. Yet you're very against it.
I'm probably lower tech than most of the forum. I'm still using wood heat. If you think I NEED a computer to interact with others, well, you are way off base. It's seems you've become so comfortable that you don't even realize how much you rely on the "tech junk" to interact with humans.
Merging man and machine triggers disaster. The boundaries of our longevity is set at 120 years. The "tech junk" is getting tightly integrated in to human life that WE WILL BECOME one
Well, it appears you're a Believer! ....AI is entirely distinct on a metaphysical level from otherwise advanced technologies. My point is, you ALREADY spend a lot of your time in the MACHINE, bro. Yet you're very against it.

What's your message? I could be wrong but I detect a certain conviction about "What is to come" that I usually get from religious folks. And that's not to knock it, but pointing out you have similar degrees of faith.I'm the messenger sorry you don't like the way things are heading. I've never said I like any of this one way, or the other. BTW I have 0 idols.
You're painting me in a way that allows you to discredit what I'm saying.
Well, it appears you're a Believer!
Exactly. What do you mean by Believer? Like someone that believes in some religious cult?![]()

My flesh is on the couch. My brain is not in the computer. All we are doing is sending letters back and forth without using a mailbox or a stamp. Big flipping deal man. I guess you can't see that it's not really that impressive. You're flesh is on the couch, that's all.

I don't need to stop it. God is going to wreck all your computer play toys in a single moment, forever. You guys do like it, I understand. But you cant stop it.
Okay, noted. Some of us are a lot more skeptical.I have no message, other than this is the direction things are going, and they are HIGHLY likely to get there.

You have pride and arrogance in technology. It will fail you.

How is it special pleading?Whatever it takes to make you feel better. You're playing it down, and making special pleads ?![]()
