Corruption is legal in the US

I'm a software engineer of 30+ years, I've seen a lot of tech in my time. I've seen all the shit people like you think will never happen, come to light.

I can tell you we already have things that work like the human brain, and our current AI uses it. I've developed systems with it at work for automation in the industries we cater to. Quantum computing is just around the corner, and if you don't think it will allow such capability you need your head checked.

Although seeing as you've bought into the bug eating conspiracy, I'd say a good head check would be a step in the right direction for you :ROFLMAO:

BTW some guys that develop major breakthroughs in AI, get spooked, and completely leave the field :hys:
"People like me". Sorry man you'll never live forever inside a box. You'll be buried in a box, in the ground. Unless you are getting cremated. And then you will be the dust God made you from. You cannot accede God, it only leads to destruction. All your tech junk won't survive the trial by fire though your arrogance and pride in it's ability to do so seems to have fully clouded your outlook.

I'm supposed to be scared because some techie soy boy got spooked by some AI computer? Psssh, the same chickenshits who cried uncle when covid came out? An army of 25 year old dudes in the prime of life with painted on arms demanding everyone get an experimental shot doesn't strike me as the pinnacle of fearless manhood so you recounting some stories doesn't exactly make me get goosebumps. You techies are impressed by a bunch of junk that will not survive another hundred years.

Yeah but Elon’s cars still crash. It reminds me of the talk to populate Mars. How about first make Greenland habitable, let alone go to the moon (And for real this time).

Elon was/is overconfident. Being in this field I have a grasp on the problem.

Imagine a world that is solid black, and the only things you can see are objects that you know, and you've seen before (i.e. trained on). This is what AI sees.

Contrast that with a human that can see every object, even if you don't know what it is. Even a child can do this.

So AI needs to acknowledge objects it has not been taught. This is being worked on, and will be solved.

This is also how AI will become sentient. Curiosity is the thing AI is lacking as well. When AI can see something it does not know, and it has the curiosity to find out what it is, and how it works. It's alive.

I'll believe it when I see it, and that is going to take more than spitting out code or chatting. Many people have a spiritual need to look to higher beings and this can be exploited. AI conveniently fills that need in an post-christian world and age of technology. As I mentioned, the Wizards of Oz would love the opportunity to control people by controlling their AI 'god'. You know they're using AI in Gaza right now — that is, using a man created but allegedly distinct "intelligence" in order to make life and death decisions of human beings. And no one is challenging them on this, or will challenge them probably either as I'm sure the worlds rulers are salivating at the prospect.

I will never live forever, it's too late for me. However future humans will. Oh no scary trials by fire LOL
You should write science fiction. No human through technological means will live forever.
Yet here you are USING all that useless tech junk to interact with others :ROFLMAO: You don't even realized you already have one foot in the machine. You've traded a good portion of your natural "God given" face to face interaction with people to the "Tech junk" you so despise.
Giving you crap on a guitar forum is a long way from living forever through AI, I guess you don't see that, lol. If I have "one foot in the machine" it's because I'm stomping a hole in someone's monitor haha.

Chatting? you talking about ChatGPT? I'm talking visual input, convolutional neural networks.

Yes, it's exploited heavily, always has been.

LOL I dunno what the AI god is, but alright.

They will attempt to use AI to create a new one world religion. It doesn't work out. They sure are pushing the "fear the mighty AI" narrative though.

My point is, you ALREADY spend a lot of your time in the MACHINE, bro. Yet you're very against it.

It's seems you've become so comfortable that you don't even realize how much you rely on the "tech junk" to interact with humans.

The "tech junk" is getting so tightly integrated into human life that WE WILL BECOME one

I'm not in the machine, I'm on the couch.

I'm probably lower tech than most of the forum. I'm still using wood heat. If you think I NEED a computer to interact with others, well, you are way off base.

The "tech junk" is getting tightly integrated in to human life that WE WILL BECOME one
Merging man and machine triggers disaster. The boundaries of our longevity is set at 120 years.

Like most computer nuts, you have as much faith in computers as I have in the Lord. But your faith is misplaced because you're talking about mechanical junk that rusts, corrodes, breaks down, requires servicing, etc. Basically you've made an idol out of plastic instead of stone and wood but it's n idol nonetheless. It has no power in and of itself.

Well, it appears you're a Believer! ....AI is entirely distinct on a metaphysical level from otherwise advanced technologies.

I'm the messenger sorry you don't like the way things are heading. I've never said I like any of this one way, or the other. BTW I have 0 idols.
You're painting me in a way that allows you to discredit what I'm saying.
What's your message? I could be wrong but I detect a certain conviction about "What is to come" that I usually get from religious folks. And that's not to knock it, but pointing out you have similar degrees of faith.

Well, it appears you're a Believer!

What do you mean by Believer? Like someone that believes in some religious cult? :ROFLMAO:

I'm merely making predictions based on my experience, what I know about the possibilities, previous tech advancement rates, and what I see.

I think I just answered that "I'm merely making predictions based on my experience, what I know about the possibilities, previous tech advancement rates, and what I see."

I have no message, other than this is the direction things are going, and they are HIGHLY likely to get there.

You guys do like it, I understand. But you cant stop it.

You're flesh is on the couch, that's all.

My flesh is on the couch. My brain is not in the computer. All we are doing is sending letters back and forth without using a mailbox or a stamp. Big flipping deal man. I guess you can't see that it's not really that impressive.

You are describing your feeling about the future of computers the way I would describe the future kingdom of heaven so regardless of your intention that is how you come across and honestly, most secular tech guys come across the same way. You have pride and arrogance in technology. It will fail you. It's not the end all be all you describing. One day it will be landfill material. Stick that in your apple IIc and smoke it bro.

Whatever it takes to make you feel better. You're playing it down, and making special pleads ?‍♂️

I don't actually, I just see where it's heading. You don't like it, and me describing the future is clearly offensive to you.
