I will get right on that man!!!

A real '83-'84 Baretta in good shape would easily command that. Anything with a pointy headstock from Kramer, not so much.

Cripes, I have a Holy Grail creme Baretta from the no Bozo's ad, I got it for like 500 bucks 15 years ago...

Dibs if you decide to sell it. My old guitar teacher had one of the very first ones, just happened to be teaching in the store the night the guys from Kramer brought it in to pitch it. He begged them to sell it to him and they caved.

It's missing the original pickup and someone put a mini toggle in to do series/parallel with the Lawrence L500 that's in it. Other than that it's pretty minty

Yeah, some Kramers are really expensive these days. I guess it more than anything else comes down to a pretty small number of guys hyping each other up online. Heck, you should see what something like a Peavey Vandenberg can sell for in the right forum or Facebook group.

I don't think I'd hold a Peavey Vandenburg equal to a Night Swan or an OG Baretta...

I think you´d be surprised, some of the more rare Vandenbergs are probably up there in the $2000 range these days. Of course, there are only a handful of guys that would pay that much. But the point is that anything can become expensive when the forum hype train starts rolling, and often for no good reason at all.

So much truth here. Basically it's worth whatever someone GASing enough will pay for it

There was a guy in my high school who was a senior when I was a freshman, who was a total badass player, had a cherry red Pacer with the beak headstock and maple neck, chrome hardware. I always wanted that guitar. And I saw in the alumni magazine that he lives near me in Scottsdale now. But he never responded to my email. I wonder if he still has it.

I agree with you guys, people WILL pay whatever they want for something and drive the prices up...my point was that I don't think a PV Vandenburg is as good a guitar as a Kramer OG Baretta or a Nightswan, not that someone wouldn't pay x amount for one.

All right, I missed that turn - sorry :)

But all in all it doesn´t even matter how good anything is or isn´t, as long as something isn´t infamously bad you can find someone clamoring for it for one reason or the other. Maybe because of an ad in a magazine thirty years ago and daydreams in high school. And when two or more of those people find each other in a close-knit little forum, watch out for rising prices!

Oh, NP....I wasn't arguing, just wanted to make sure my point was made. I agree with you about idiots driving up prices on junk...
