It’s especially stupid to buy a gun specifically to go out and interfere with LE.

No one I know is disputing his right to do it, just questioning the wisdom of it. Rittenhouse very carefully maintained legality by only engaging people who were actively trying to kill him, none of whom were LE. He did in fact interact with LE after the fact and somehow managed not to get shot. Probably by following the basic tenets everyone is taught in concealed carry classes with regards to interactions with LE.

The part that's not fine is not complying with LE and getting into an altercation with them. If you're fighting with LE and have a firearm on your person, what do you expect would happen? Everyone politely sit and have tea and crumpets?
If you have a firearm, get in an altercation with LE, there's a high probability you will perceived as a deadly threat and run the risk of lethal force being used on you.
I can explain it to you, but I'm not going to be able to understand it for you.

Cops arrest armed criminals without killing them all the time, dumbass. Alex Pretti did not reach for his gun at all. In fact Alex was disarmed completely without him ever having reached for his firearm at all, then he was executed while he was on his knees with a shot to the back of the fucking head about 5 seconds AFTER he was disarmed.
