So, I am getting into pedals and have some questions. If I want my reverb on all the time, want delay for all my leads but sometimes want mod effects like chorus/flange/phase to be able to come in and out would this work? Basically like setting up patches but using pedals, not rack stuff

Or do I need something like the Ground Control Pro/GCX? I'd ideally like it to switch my solo boost and clean/dirty on the Splawn QR.

Am I nuts? I assume this is not uncommon.

if you're going to use a switcher and want reverb on all the time you can either have reverb in one of the switcher loops, and no matter what patch that loop is always active

or you just put it after the switcher and leave it always on if that makes sense , using the loops for other effects/pedals

Makes sense AND also frees up a loop for another effect type.

Here's what I am looking at for out front:
1. Voodoo Lab Commander
2. Voodoo Lab Pedal Switcher
3. EHX Crying Tone Wah
4. Boss TU-2

In The Loop:
1. MXR Zakk Wylde Chorus (The only pedal I have decided on so far)
2. Delay
3. Phaser
4. Reverb

That SHOULD cover all my bases. This will be a few month long project.

Reverb all the time huh? :gethim:
Yeah, I like hair rock tones ...

I say that now but who the hell knows!

Check out the Moen gec9. Just posted a link in your other thread.

You may want to look at the control switcher as well. That will allow you to incorporate amp function switching into the presets you create without sacrificing loops to do it.
I looked at the same setup when I decided I needed a switching system. In the end I went with the GCX8 and the Ground control pro, along with the Control switcher. Just a lot more options that way, and pedals got racked up out of the drink spill zone of drunk bitches requesting Mustang Sally. :D
