good afternoon and happy new year,
i'm having trouble wrapping my head around wiring my 4-position rotary switch.
here's what i'm looking at, should be easy but all diagrams i've found aren't working and i think i'm just missing a fundamental piece of information...
neck P90--> Volume
bridge P90-> Volume
-->position1 neck only
position2 neck+bridge series
position3 neck+bridge parallel
position4 bridge only
--> output
this is my switch: http://www.guitarelectronics.com/produc ... witch.html
this is the closest i found to a diagram: http://www.tdpri.com/telephoto/data/500/rotary.jpg
however with that wiring it seems that the neck ground and lead are both going to a common, which doesn't make sense to me. when i tied just the lead to the common and the grounded thru the grounding scheme i got no signal on all but the neck only position. i then thought about the diagram rationally and it doesnt seem to send anything to output in the 3 positions either so i thought i'd get the forums' input.
thanks folks!
