Awesome stuff

What cabinets were being used?

I like the Fortin Cali and Wizard metal. How loud were they set? Cabs?

It was "REALLY" loud. The cam took it like a champ. You definitely needed ear protection. My shoes were vibrating LoL. The earlier (under 30 in title) MTL videos used the Scumback Naked with M75 black frames. Most of the Cali vids used the ToneNerd (Mojotone) with G12H30s on the bottom and black frame M75s on top

I felt so bad for scottosan. He spent most of the time behind the camera and in front of the cabs with his hands over his ears. That guy is a trooper for sure. It was loud in that room!

Thanks to everyone who showed up. Got to meet some guys I had not met in person yet,but liked on the forum. And the others were from the last ampfest were just as easy and kind as last time.

No worries. It's all good. I apologize I couldn't get more rooms at the newer venue. There were a few people that wanted to demo stuff at the end and we ran out of time. I just appreciate everyone's understanding and flexibility in change of venue. It'd be nice just to get some beers with some of you and chat outside of the forum and ampfest

Could’ve let some more guys plug in their amps. Some cool shit was completely overlooked by attention hogs.
Such as? We did the best we could losing a room. The original plan was to have 2 rooms but the original venue got sucked up in a tornado. There was several times during the event that no one wanted to demo their stuff. What stuff are you referring to?

I showed up at 4:45pm and didn't notice that, but it was only a handful left at that point. Seemed like everyone was pretty content, but I too noticed Scott did not play at all during even that last hour, if that's what you're referring to.

Regardless, maybe we need to set aside play times next time, if you think that would help. Open to your suggestions/solutions if you have any.

That wizzard mtl was killer.
Make no mistake...the MTL/MCI/MCII all are killer. The amusement park excitement happens when when you're in front of one, at volume....

So they pretty much all sound good except the Synergy which sounds a bit choked and doesn't cut as much. That's my take away. I could pretty much play any of those and be satisfied.

That MTL..... I need one now.....

Thanks for all the effort you guys. Crazy good players all around.

Very cool evening this must of been.

It’s for sale

That is all a whole lot of work Scott. Hats off to you.

Still kind of going through them but honestly, they are all starting to sound the same

I'm sure live in the room all the little nuances could be picked up. Otherwise, it sounds/looks like a full on massive modded marshall brigade force x10.

I've made the comment before that once you get to a certain volume and the power tubes start cooking, the characteristics of the EL34s start becoming more predominant and the more similar things will sound. Also, most of the cabs minus the Bogner had scumbacks and Weber legacy (same as blue frame scums)

Dig the Fortin Cali the best. I’m in for a Central FL a modest if it happens. I have a JJ Jr, and some fun axes.

There is something to be said in regards to the player etc .. on the same amp.. for example, the Mojave and Gower Jose are mine and ive never heard them sound like that. I'm glad I asked .. Was it Mike? to play through them. He got a much harder edge and killer grind out of the amps, killer punchy mids out of the mojave.. great sounds out of the Gower Jose..I think it was just a LP with 490's or 498's? something like that.. I would have played through the Fortin and a couple of more amps but we ran out of time...the day went so fast..

Id be up for another one perhaps multi room, soonish.. I can try to help, we use to do these in New Zealand.. quite fun..Im suprised no other Austin players or nearby turned up..
