I finally pick up my guitar to play for the first time in days and what do I decide to jam over? A damn soulful progression backing track in G major focusing on B phrygian. Noooooo, don't practice any King Diamond, Steel Panther, Megadeth, or pop rock licks for a cover band I'd still like to do. Nope, play some goddamn tasty B phrygian phrases over a backing track.
