i am frustrated not pissed or going in some bath salt manic zombie rage but yeah i would really like the DAR fbm i ordered seems like about a year and half ago now, and i don't know what is really going on over there in palo alto california, so i'm kind of at a loss

i've been told my amp is done, and been told that it will be shipped such and such a day seems like several times now, no luck actually getting it though and usually after this conversation has transpired i have no luck with any follow up for a while like 2 to several weeks, follow up meaning i can't get in touch with mike of DAR in any format

i don't know what the hell to do, i feel for the guy in some ways, i bet he's got tons of people banging down his door for their shit money or whatever

but this is beyond ridiculous,

if anyone has insight into this madness please let me know, and if you read this mike contact me anyway you feel comfortable

thanks!

Wow,that sucks. Hope you hear some info soon. Hopefully this is just a fluke and it works out for u.

well yeah it's a fluke that's been consistent among many people though, i hate calling people out, and i guess that's exactly what i'm doing, though this may get something done, or it may piss mike off and have him put a dead rat or something in my amp, boo!

idk thanks for the commiseration, i'll keep the forum posted of course, if/when i get the FBM

thanks

I took out my preorders and received refunds early into all the drama, although I did hop back in line for the preamp after I found out he was no longer taking monetary deposits.

DAR is creating a very, very bad name for themselves and if they care about their reputation, Mike needs to start talking. It would honestly not take much to cool everybody's jets, just posting weekly on the Facebook, maybe some production pics, whatever. Just saying 'hey, we're working on it' and taking 30 mins to answer emails would do wonders.

I can't see the company lasting if their customer service is this pathetic.

There are people who have paid in full and can't get answers. That's unforgivable.

yes i agree with the above, i'm totally paid for for the FBM and nothing, mike just needs to swallow pride or idk and do what needs to be done, nuff said, appreciate the input fellas, i'm only frustrated not pissed yet, but he needs to contact people, i'm not on facebook and only have idk a phone, texting, email etc to reach me, so idk whatever that means, i think i mean he has ways to contact me, i hate calling him out like this, but whatever at this point, everyone already knows, if fredrik thorndenthal's name wasn't attached to this i think he'd have a posse or 5 on his ass,

regards

I lost all interest after waiting endlessly for the Pedal to surface, I would simply request a refund.

Your case sounds even worse than others I've heard about since you've been told it was going to ship already. I could see Mike being tied up and neglecting responding to emails, but it seems like he could be more diligent with customers directly in line who's amps are either completed or currently on the workbench.

Anyways, I'm way down on the list at the moment, so I don't really have a dog in the fight... still irks me since it's something like 1.5 years of talk, preorders and surrounding hype and nearly no results. I've only noticed two customer amps surfacing on the internet so far...

He recently posted on facebook saying he was away on another project and that he is back, with 20 heads almost ready for shipment and 70 more in line.

I have a deposit on a -PX, and it just seems like every time he cares to respond to me that more and more "first run" 100H heads appear in queue ahead of the preamp orders. The technology has had me stoked for a while, and I'd be happy to wait as long as it takes if Mike would be honest and care to update the people who've given him money for these products.

There is a nifty calculator to determine when DAR will ship: Take current calendar day and add 30 days to it.

Most of us know better than to pay up front, but do it anyways. So live and learn, and don't do it again.

For sure not out of line to want an amp or your money back. like NOW!

The only bright side, or sad if you will, is that Mike is building damned good amps!

These must be some pretty fine amplifier specimans, I'd never even heard of them til frequenting this and several other forums. Are these high gain metal oriented amplifiers?

There shall be much eating of the popcorn in this thread.

:checkthisout:

:scared: is Mikes last name Cameron. . . . In all seriousness tho, all new 'boutique' amp builders should take a customer service notes from the likes of Peter Diezel

This is the trendy new business model in the musical instruments industry. Actually delivering products is secondary to the pre-order it seems.

Really hope this works out for everyone involved, and that this is just a slow start to a great business. Those amps seem damn fine.

i really do too, i hope mike gets it together and the company thrives at some point, it's ridiculous though at this point, and yes popcorn will be had by all

i talked to mike on facebook a couple days ago, i dont want to speak for him but i think he was pushed by some other people to make the company bigger when he didnt really want to. He seems like a good guy that is just overwhelmed.

i also paid in full, with like all of my money, lol, i was going to sell my current amp and though it was going to be quicker but am caught in between now. its my "moveing to LA" money so i was pretty nervous, still am a little. live and learn

Well y won't he answer the guys who are and have been dedicated to him. I put my studio time off for my forza. It just went back for tweaks.

I can only guess that right now hes trying to catch up with all the backed emails, i dont know. It took me a while to get a hold of him, i had to message several people.

it sucks though, im recording in august and i basically can only hope my amp will be here by then...and...i plan on moving to LA in january so i can only hope i will be able to sell my current amp to have enough money then. if i loose this amp/money im screwed
