DAR amps, what's the deal yo?

probably because most people who view the thread dont really wanna pile on.

these amps are not like normal amps. tey have a huge amount of build time going on. tons of solder work. i am not making excuses for bad communication, just saying it takes a lot to build these behemoths.

really hope he can get back on track. for over a year the FBM has been the only amp on my radar and in my pocketbook. as it stands, i am looking to buy something else instead, and will just wait to see what happens with DAR farther down the line.

still irks me since it's something like 1.5 years of talk, preorders and surrounding hype and nearly no results....

This is the trendy new business model in the musical instruments industry. Actually delivering products is secondary to the pre-order it seems.

It helps to find founds : either with the actual money, or with investors that have a proof that people is interested by the product.

It's a shame for DAR, those amps seem very good, and I was really interested in the preamp w/ IRs, but it's been 1.5 years with "news coming soon". Meh.

Anyhow, I really hope the guys that already paid for their amp will get something.

and i posted because i want to know something, besides anything else,

if some chance mike reads this and is pissed, and screws me, which is entirely possible i suppose, well that's not my intention

Mike called me thank god. Everything is ok. His job which he can't fully discuss took him away longer than expected. But he reassured me all is welll with Dar amplification !
