Dave crushed the Amp Show!

Did you think the Marsha was that much better than the KS mods you have? I'm always tempted by the Marsha but it would suck to lay down the cash to have something very close to the KS mod I already have. Maybe the Naked as more of a contrast??? What do you think?
 
I like them both. I am personally attached to the feel and sound of my '71 with the KS. That amp just sounds perfect to me and suits my playing. I have heard that the Marsha sounds better then many mods cuz Dave uses the best of everything in the Marsha. The Naked would be something for you to check out for sure. Great amp.

James, that is exactly how I feel after gigging with my Friedman modded Marshall. I play in a cover band, Aretha to Ozzy, ac/dc to Pink. All I need to go from clean to full shred is the volume on my guitar. Once you play like that, channel switching looses its appeal.

Same here, now that I have 4 or 5 gigs down with the Marsha it is great for the cover band Im in.. Beatles , to Journey, Bon Jovi , to Metallica.. Its all there with the BE, C45, and my Guitar.. Love love love it :thumbsup:
 
Curious about the Dirty Shirley - is it similar to the Blankenship Custom 45?

Dave and I were sitting at a beach resort bar with our ladies. Dave and I were talking about our next amp design and what that might be. The girls were talking about the non alcoholic drink Shirley Temple. My girlfriend stated that there's an alcohol version of the Shirley Temple. Dave is always busting my chops because I drink fufu drinks. I said, "so its a Dirty Shirley". I told Dave the Dirty Shirley should be the next name of our new amp. Dave said "done". And its stuck with us since. There u have it :rock:

I can see the next demo video already..."Dave likes Shirley's Brown Eye to accept a lot of inputs without getting rough or harsh on the input plug..." followed by an "Astro Glide" product shot.... ;)

This is no surprise Dave's amps kill everything in the Marshall category .Discussions of his amps are showing up on alot of other amp manufacturers sites .You know they hate that and I try to be respectful but what can you do when people want to talk about tone you gotta tell them where to get it :yes:
