This. It's a Marshall, Marshall and yes still a Marshall with a few changes to the circuit. I've had 2 Friedman Marshalls and they were average..sent them packing within 2 weeks. I did play a BE 100 that sounded much better..but not worth 3K(used!). I can buy an SLO (used) that kills it and have 600 left over. IMO of course. In fact this FJA modded Superbass I have is light years better sounding than the 2 Friedmans I had.

To say a SLO kills a BE is nonesence, bot are great just different flavours. This is side stepping the issue here.
