Talk about great service and communications man, he is great to deal with.

Got a little extra feature on it too

Interesting that this last batch was supposed to have all the options and now we are seeing new BEs shipping with "extras". Like, the Master Volume on HBE.

Personally I'd be pissed if I spent $3,700 to find out a few months later there were other options I could have had.

That's why I bought mine used for about a grand less. They come up fairly often. When you flip or hoard amps regularly no need to buy new imo!

master vol on hbe??? this is new to me!

was thinking the other day the amp would be great if it had that

Dave wrote in a separate thread a couple of days ago that he has "no updates at all planned" to the BE100. Based on this, I can only assume the additional features people are seeing (e.g., master volume on HBE) are custom mods available for an additional price, and he doesn't plan on incorporating them into the standard production model.

Holy shit, I should of shut up about my BE specifics.

It's nothing that has not been seen before, so your not missing anything, it's just not standard on the production BE. You can ask Dave for whatever you want on the amp, he will tell you yes or no, that simple. The production BE is what it is and it's not going to change, per Dave as stated in another thread. If you want additional options or features, just ask. Dave once said if it was just him, he'd have the BE channel with no options at all, it's the better sounding anyway and less things in the signal path, the better. Do not quote me on that, I just remember a while back this sentence.

I could ask for a foot switchable mute and a tuner out and a second effects loop, might all be doable, but not offered as standard, that wouldn't change a thing for the standard model. I know it sucks when additional features become standard on the amp and you have the older version, but this was a ground up build offered to the public, it got updates along the way, he could of never offered it and we would all be missing this awesome amp and be stuck searching for the perfect Marshall to have modded. Every company updates there products at some point, bottom line is, if you bought it and liked it before, what's wrong with it now?

I love my Brown Eye, I bought it new and am perfectly happy with the features it came with for the money I paid

I could spend more time explaining my point of view but it doesn't really matter I guess.

I sold my BE anyway.

I get your point, when I had my first BE and heard they where coming with full clean now, I was salivating thinking about it. But I loved the clean, so why bother?

I had an offer for it that I could not refuse, so I sold it. I knew I was going to get another one at some point anyway. Now is this time.

Change of subject here, why did you sell your BE? I thought you loved that amp? Still have the SS?

I got two awesome amps incoming, god damn. Can't wait to get the Gemini, still have your Colossus?

Good for you, and your boyfriend

Sorry, couldn't resist that one

Nah, seriously, I was also very happy with mine, and to be honest, I was on the BE with no options most of the time anyway, Dave is right about this one, the BE strait up is IT. But it's fun to have all the available options, down the road if you wanna sell it or whatever, people love options.

Chris

Look guys options are available but what is standard is staying. It never ends. You design a amp then you keep getting requests for things and finally you give in. It has to stop somewhere. Right now there is no plans for a update. If I want to change something it will be a different amp at this point.

I really love the BE100 stock.
The HBE volume would be great for sure, but to many features are not really important.
I prefer a good stock sound and play with my guitar volume.
In fact I prefer the BE100 without any switches ON, it sounds pure, organic, the best Marshall sound I have ever played.

The BE is still going strong after 3 months of ownership. I have not played a gig with it.
I bring it to every band practice.
So far, this is how I use it:
-The gain is set to full.
-all other switch is in off position.
- Main rhythm is BE position
- lead is HBE.
- Of course real clean for cleans...
- Set the loop level to consumer on the effect processor (very important).

The only thing I would like is a second master for lead boost. I use a loop level cut for the rhythm and full loop volume for leads.

thats how i pretty much run it with all the switches off in a live enviroment it just sounds great, gain about 8 , for solo boosts i use and mxr/cae boost line driver, works a treat, spend most of my time on the brown eye channel,

If that mod is pretty simple to put a master on the hbe channel then i may have to get that done., not a big deal as i love the core sounds of this amp so much.

THIS!!! That's why I'm so happy with my 1st run production BE-100 with simple clean and separate BE/HBE inputs ... so funny cuz I've been thinking lately that if I had the $$$ or was a rockstar, I would have Dave build me exactly that ... BE only head, no clean, no options, no effects loop, nothing ... just straight up "BE".

The BE is a fantastic amp and to a lot of people it is simply THE BEST hard rock amp on the planet.
In the end, I prefer'ed the Cameron CCV. Add to that, I also have the Cameron Atomica and the Cameron Old Bitch so I was covered in the Marshall arena.
It's just my personal preference. And seriously, who says I have good taste anyway!

Is it possible to describe the differences or the similarity between the BE100 and CCV, especially how you see and hear them? Thanks.
