I think I'm tapping out on the band at this point.

Hey welcome to 25 years ago
Lol! Saw Whitesnake open for Priest about 4 or 5 years ago and though tuned well low, they were great. Coverdale is just shot now.

Yeah...I have a feeling it's gonna be a "big gun" and that's why DA stepped down.

;)

I like me some WS every now and then, 30 years ago or yesteryear. Don't matter to me that much.

Whitesnake doesn't suck... Coverdale sucks NOW. He was still able to do it up to 2005-2006 I'd say but it was on it's way out then. Now, it is a total shit show. The low tunings just make a lot of it drag. I think DA got out right in time and had probably had enough himself. I'd hope Demartini doesn't step in, didn't think his style fit at all in Whitesnake.

I really tried to like that album, was it "Good to be Bad," or something.

Kinda stopped paying attention after that Hammersmith dvd where he doctored all his vocals in the studio. He's turned into one ugly grandmother. Him and Steven Tyler should do like a really slutty calendar together and market it on granny porn sites.

Hate to break this to you , but most if not all of the vocals for official live recordings are doctored unless you are buying a bootleg live recording.

Me too!! Just could not get into it!!

Someone mentioned Steve Tyler's vocal work. This is from 2013... Sounds pretty damn good to me.

My question is, does anyone outside of this forum actually care who is replacing Aldrich? This wasn't even big news 20 years ago.

I can't see DeMartini doing it again. He didn't seem to fit for some reason. I recall he also didn't work out for Dio, which led to Doug Aldrich joining, oddly enough. There was a press release where either Dio or Aldrich basically said he didn't cut it. I thought it was pretty unprofessional, and it seemed to get pulled quickly. Warren is a legendary player, but he's played so long with one band that I think his style is so tied into that.

Captain Hyperbole, is that you?

No, Captain A-Hole, you've got the wrong person.

: told about in a legend

: very famous or well-known

Because WD isn't very famous or well-known, right?

No he isn't
The guy barely has a Wikipedia page

Demartinni's style just doesn't fit either Dio or WS because his timing and phrasing are less about speed and more about the swing. He always holds long notes followed by mid tempo pentatonics and then throws in a few faster licks but the whole thing wouldn't work for Dio where you want the lead guitar in your face. As for WS, he played with them in 94 and there are a few tunes on youtube from the shows. It just doesn't work at all... again, he has a style that is not easily ported to another band. Love his playing though, one of my faves.

I didnt know Celine Dion was in Whitesnake

Nick Sterling

Anybody know what happened to Nick? Seems like he dropped off the face of the earth after the Sebastian Bach gig fizzled out. Hope he's doing OK.
