dd20 users, question about mod50 loop

how do you use your dd-20 in your mod50? series loop @ +4db, or parallel loop with +4db and kill-dry??

Being that it is NOT true bypass, I'd reccomend the parallell loop. That way some of your pure tone is always coming thru.

I thought the DD20 had some great tones. Loved the analog sim on that thing... shouldnt have sold mine.

I had trouble getting the DD20 to be wet enough in my parallel loop and Im pretty sure I had it 100% wet with kill dry. But I might be a moron. So, I ran it in the series loop and though it sounded great. That is, until I got a TimeFactor which still blows my mind to this day.

this seems to be my exact situation.. it sounds pretty good in series, especially the mod delays..

Yep, mod delay was really nice on DD20. It is a solid, all around delay pedal. I thought it sounded better than that TC Nova Delay actually.

Jeff, is it normal for me to have to run the effects knob at 3 oclock to get enough wetness out of a TimeFactor in the parallel loop?

i'm not jeff, but that doesn't sound right..

you should get "some" fx around 9 o'clock..

The parallel loop does keep a very strong dry signal which I think is a good thing, however I wouldnt be surprised if you had to really crank the effects knob to get a good amount of wetness. I leave mine all the way up and use the levels on my Eventide to balance the affected signal.
