I was always a bigger fan of the original line up, but at this point..yes.
 
I really wish they put out an album of new stuff instead of the live one.
 
I wonder if Mike and Sammy even would come back at this point. Seems like a lot of bad blood on both sides.
 
Dear Van Halen... please continue to do what you want to do. You owe us nothing.
 
I think they owe their fans a lot over the years. Reforming without Mike as an example.
 
I agree, Sammy and Mike and much better singers! Michael Anthony and the high harmonies are/were a big part of the sound.

They don't owe the fans one single thing.
 
I try to be always grateful that I can enjoy the current work of an artist. And I'm glad I have the honor and privilege to be contemporary with him v.s. learn about him in history books. And I want to be able to enjoy this instead of listening a 30 years ago album filled with pathetic nostalgia.

I'm afraid all of you who miss the old VH days are actually missing yourself and the life from those days.

Folks, try to enjoy another "VH Live on TV" topic! It's better to have it than starting a new thread with RIP / XX years without ...

Sammy is rich, and semi-retired (according to him). No way he wants back into the drama that is Van Halen. So it's DLR or nobody!

I just wish they would do a new album, and have Dave sing like he did on Push Comes To Shove.

They'll be too busy carrying piles of money to the bank this summer to make any calls. ;)
 
Sammy would come back in a heartbeat if Ed made the first move & called him........Sammy doesn't need the $ but he loved being the frontman for VH, and loves the tunes they came up with :yes:
