Personally, I don't get along with digital. The sound is there and the final recording is great, but the feel is just wrong. I much prefer playing an amp that has nuance and makes you work a little bit.

There's a lot to be said for digital FX. I've never heard a digital pre- emulation I really liked. Some were OK.

Digital stuff also tends to get stuck with deficient output stages and speakers making it seem worse than it is.
