Good afternoon.

Now then... I am looking to buy a combo, but got lost in the jungle of horrible YouTube demos, and worthless reviews.
I know there are so many to choose from, so I was hoping you guys could help me narrow it down.

First off... lets assume money is no object (although 50k for a Dumble is a tad too much.. :aww: ).
I am not looking for a high-gain face-ripper. Something more "sweet", but still enough umf to let you go ape. Two channels (easy switching), and an FX loop.
Sounds that I like are: Ford, Derek Trucks, Bonamassa, Clapton... that end of the woods.
Reasonable portability would be preferred too.

I have looked at Two-Rock Jet, Diezel Einstein, and a Brunetti mc2... Any thoughts, ideas? Fenders?

Suggestions for other brands and models?

I would use a PRS Custom 24 as my main axe...

Love my King Uptown 33- awesome cleans, nice dirty side and the ability to mix them together. And Val will build to your specs.

That amp sounds fantastic in that video to me!

Thanks- Great amp for cleans and dirty blues type stuff. I tend to live on the parallel channel most of the time and use my volume knob to clean it up. Love it with the 2x10's- gets fatter when you crank it up with nice punchy mids. A real paradigm shift from the rest of my high gain/high watt stuff.

not to bad priced either. I wonder how the clean channel would take a pedal that got it into more aggressive territory? really nice sounding amp though from the clip.

It takes pedals well. I've stacked a TS808 and OCD pedals through it and it sounds cool, but I've never tried to get high gain metal type tones out of it.

yeah I am sure it rocks for those pedals, just wonder for something more modern and edgy, such as a jeckyl hyde.

Bogner Shiva
Bogner Alchemist
Marshall 410
Egnater Renegade 4x10
Egnater Mod50 Combo
Elmwood M60 Combo
Diezel Schmidt Combo
Soldano Lucky 13 Combo

are all amazing options for what you're looking into.

I would definetly recommend looking at the budda superdrives for combos. Aloha, Rob.

check out the VHT Pittbull 45 combo's. Beautiful clean sounding and a great overdrive/distortion. Boost it and you can get up to the metal category.

It's one of those amps that you hear the tone of the wood in the guitar and with a PRS like you're playing should be sweet

My 2 cents, for what it is worth, is a Mesa Lonestar Classic 100/50/10 or 100/50( the older one that I rock).
Fantastic cleans on par with any fender, great sounding verb with separate levels for each channel, a killer sounding drive channel with some serious warm sounding classic gain - not a face ripper - more of a sustain machine - can be set for warm clear sustain, and can get somewhat aggressive for some rock and roll, absoultely killer for blues and rock. Nice loop with send level control for pedals or rack stuff - I use pedals in the loop with no audible pedal overload, and dual master volumes for solo boost, tweed brown out power option in addition to wattage options. The 1x12 is portable although its a bit heavy, but one of the mesa options is to have it come with wheels!
ALthough it is less expensive than some of the amps mentioned already, I would check one out before a purchase.
Your PRS would be excellent through one of these. If you test drive one, the clean channel is pretty easy to dial in, for drive channel, set gain, gain boost, thickness to taste, treble high, mids to taste, bass low, and you are there. These amps tone controls can be set to sound glorious, or like crap if the bass is too high.

Thanks people...

I have looked at some videos of Two-Rock... and the only one that sold me was when J. Bonamassa was playing his Custom Reverb at a soundcheck... I know its a head, but its a good indication of what they could sound like.

However... Its still a head, and from what I can understand he is also running his Jubilee Marshall parallel, so...
But to my luck I have just found a dealer here (Malaga, Spain... its a miracle... as there is a distinct lack of finer products here), so I can actually go and try some Two-Rocks. (I bet its gonna end up with a head/cabinet set-up... :D )
They should also have the Lonestar, which I am quite intrigued about. It seems like a down right decent combo!

Then again... I might just like their Carvins... AAAAHHHHH I am gonna have a field-day!!!

Christ on a pogo stick I am Gassing for a LoneStar now... its unbearable...

Damn you, Andy Timmons!!!
