Deftones with my Monomyth

Deftones and this song were always one of my favorites and i found a decent drum track so i decided to give it a whirl this morning. i know carptenter used jmp1's so i figured ill use my monomyth origin. its my mockingbird with a 81 and v30. bass is my purple ibanez.

thanks! i was informed though he used a mp1 and passives and not emgs and the jmp1 like i thought so heres another one i just did, its my yamaha with a nazgul on a T75 this time. crazy the difference in tone just by changing guitars and speakers

Massive, massive difference - and this is why changing up gear for recording is so much fun!

I'm going to try with better speakers as the mix was not working for me for some reason. "Phasey". Could hear no bass guitar

But the low mid grind of the Monomyth is def there and nice and nasty like I like it

Interesting.....I thought the first combo was good..nice gritty fuzz...but the 2nd is just way better...there is way less high fizz with the Nazgul/T75. combo.

Interesting.....I thought the first combo was good..nice gritty fuzz...but the 2nd is just way better...there is way less high fizz with the Nazgul/T75. combo.

the first one has too much v30 nasally tubbyness going on but i still like it in a weird way.
