I finally found three amps that I really love and Im having major issues with my delay pedals cutting volume and hurting the overall tone when I run them through the loop. Do some pedals do this more than others? And if so, why? Can anything cure this? The pedals I have are a boss dd3 and a line 6 dl4. Thanks for the advice guys

Do you use the loop parallel or in series? Try the other way probably. The Line6 is known for having a volumedrop but there are mods to avoid this.

None of my loops have the option to switch between series/parellel. I just plug them in and go. Maybe the loops are not happy with line level and need a hotter signal?

What are the amps in question?

It's either a non-buffered loop or can't handle a instrument level signal so there is a impdedance mismatch.

Brunetti 059 and a Diamond Phantom.

Do you have a device that is line level that you can test out?

Thanks Cyndicate. So the issue seems to be line versus instrument level?

I'm assuming so. I know the DL4 is a instrument level unit that runs into that problem a lot. Especially in using it in the FX loop of certain amps. Do you have something that is line level to test out if you see the same problem?

No I dint at this time. That is an issue too. I can't try anything else right now lol
