when i switch it to blues it does get louder but the volume doesnt drop down at all, it just stays louder.
That is the same with mine, but I was talking about if it happened when switching from blues into modern.

i find that when you tunr the bass past 12:00 it not only starts to loosen up the amp but it kills the cut and clarity and makes the bass flubby

right about there its punchy as hell and still pretty damn bassy
I just tried those settings and they sound pretty damn good! I have a question, for you and anyone else who owns a tremoverb. When you're on the red channel, and you flip the switch form blues to modern, does it get louder for a split second, then go back down in volume? This happens on my tremoverb, and I was just wondering if it is normal.
It depends on how you have the amp settings.

The tube that effects the amount of bass in your over all sound is V1 in most amps. If you need to turn up your bass to 3 o'clock to get heavy bass I am guessing the first preamp tube voice does not have much bass. Every preamp tube is unique like a snowflake .... it's tonal balance and gain is unique to only it.
You could switch around a few preamp tubes and it could change your tonal balance a lot.
