Set # 3 I hit the footswitch to change channels....nothing happenned ...I freaked out..
by force of panic, I saw that if I kept my foot down on the switch, it would go to that channel and stay there as
long as my foot was stomping it down...if I released pressure, it would go back to channel 1...and stay there..
I wound up disconnecting it..power off/on the head and manually had to change the channels via the buttons on the
head...has anyone had this happen? ...is it a bad footswitch or something in the head?
I had noticed when first unpacking that there was someting loose inside the footswitch but it worked so I
did not pay any mind...

It's the footswitch. This happened to mine. Egnater replaced it and the new one has been fine. Open it up. You might be able to jigger the contact a bit until you get the new.

It's a little weird that it happened so soon, but it happens with footswitches. After all, we do stomp on them!

I actually was able to sell my old on one eBay for a few bucks, even though the buyer knew it had a problem. If you have any knowledge of wiring and a soldering iron, you might be able to fix it yourself. I think it is just a bad contact- nothing to worry yourself over.

It might possibly be the cable. Try a new cable. Helpful to have a spare cable anyway. It's a MIDI cable; I am not sure how many pins. They will send you a new cable with a new footswitch.

I did what Bruce said...sent email to Nate explaining the problem...
hope to hear from him soon.
