I think those arpeggios might suck. No definition. Not sure if that is because of the speed, would need to slow it down to hear if he nailed it. It presents awful though, especially when that is the only speed he does it at and he does it several times.
But the speed picking is tight tight tight! Too bad he will need to wear that guitar up high above the nipple and lose all coolness on a stage.

And I think that's even if you like arpeggios. When done like that I don't. There were moments in there where he slowed it down and wrangled something extra from a note and it was really good.

I got lost half way through and didn't know where the fuck he was in the solo when I listened the first few times. His timing is rushed in spots but he's definitely got the Impelliteri meets Batio/Romero meets Super Mario bros thing down pat. Agree that his legato is nice and clean. His arpeggios probably are too if he were to slow them down some.

Not really but to be fair I don't think he was trying to demonstrate musical value. I had to try to finish it.

not gunna lie, i'm still totally impressed by shit like this. any negative thing i'd have to say would purely come from jealously.
The sweeps were clean given the speed. I don't aspire to play like that because i am lazy, and that is the only reason. i don't want to work that hard because it doesn't impress chicks/sell the way a slower, carefully phrased, singable melody does.

but if i could play like THAT, anyones approval/disapproval would not mean fuck all to me.

Do you need to have the guitar hiked up to your chin to play ultra fast like that? Anything strapped down lower restricts speed?
