We don't have any belt and road initiatives here. A Labor Victorian state govt tried that on for size under an infamous Premier called Dan Andrews and the federal govt had it cancelled as far as I know.

The Russians basically have a half swastika "Z" on all their vehicles etc. So who are the Nazis? Also it's Russia invading a free country and making the land grab - exactly like the Nazis again. Not sure how you can support that. Most people would ask "what if it happened to my country" when it comes to being invaded and bombarded with missiles and your cities destroyed.

How anyone can support Russia as if Ukraine is their right is beyond me.

After the US backed Maidan coup, Ukraine attacked and killed ethnic Russians in Ukraine, outlawed their language, customs, religion, and threatened to bring NATO weapons to Russia's border.

Russia attempted dialog with the US, who dismissed and ignored Russian proposals and refused to negotiate. Russia invaded with a small force to demonstrate they were serious, not to conquer or destroy Ukraine, but to bring the US to negotiate. Instead, the US, using their UK puppet BoJo, convinced the green goblin Zelensky to not sign any peace agreement and continue the war even after both Russia and Ukraine were close to a deal brokered in/by Turkiye.

Once Putin realized the US and the West lied in the Minsk accords, destroyed nordstreams, he was left will little choice but to escalate, and protect the ethnic Russians in Ukraine, and make them part of Russia.

The EU still wants war in Ukraine; Ukraine is kidnapping men and boys on the streets and sending them to the front; 100s of thousands of Ukrainian men have been killed; 70% of women in German brothels are Ukrainian, and they are being trafficked around the world.

Then there are the Ukrainian nazis that Ukraine supporters always forget, including our own ruling parasite demoncrats and neocon RINOs.

Russian victory was inevitable from the start, unless the West wants to start a nuclear WW3; seems like the EU wants that; and we all know how much Europeans love their world wars and invasions of each other since the middle ages.

I have no idea what he says. I have him on ignore. I can't remember why.

My view of what Trump is doing is more nuanced and issue by issue.

For me I think the following:
- cut waste domestically - pass!
- get rid of wokeness - pass!
- get rid of international aid waste where appropriate - tick!
- make other allied nations spend more on defence - tick!
- cut illegal immigration - tick!
- reduce other immigation - tick!
- support Russia and throw Ukraine to the wolves and try and carve up their resources - fail!
- impose tarrifs on Australia and Canada - fail!
- impose tariffs on China - tick!
- threaten Canada with annexation - fail!
- threaten Greenland with annexation - fail
- become insular - fail

So you see things aren't that simple with me. I don't just disagree with everything - I just disagree with treating allied nations like dog shit.

I think that's totally reasonable and not unhinged at all @japetus

wonder where this goes.

Russia, most concessions they are going to make, is they keep what they have taken. Too many Russian lives to achieve this according to the Russian people, that topic is done.

EU is as joke, they could take their entire combined forces, and be decimated in a month against Russia. Most of those countries have less active combat military than the NYPD.

only way forward is a business relationship that works for Russia as well, only way lasting peace exists.

But do you know why Britain's military is depleted.

The US took ALL of Britain's gold reserves during WW2 and even made them take out a massive loan to pay for them to fight on against Germany. It was only paid off in 2006 or something.

In other words, the US didn't fight out of the goodness of it's heart - it only fought for self interest even back then. It then came in half way through the war after it was attacked. Great Britain was a shadow of its former self after WW2 and in debt.

Again the US is no real friend or ally. In truth, it totally sucks as a nation. The US wasn't really about fighting the Nazis because they were "bad" at all. They sat on the fence for years and let them take the UK to the brink, took all of Britain's wealth and drove them into the ground.

You see this behaviour again now with the US and the Ukraine. They want to strip Ukraine of its wealth too while they pay with their lives. For the US it's all about business - not about what is right.
