Did the studio preamp ever go into production?

Talked to James the other week, said he was going to be talking with Bob Bradshaw about the switching (that was about 2 weeks ago). I think they should be getting close to shipping out, or so I hope. Give James a call, he'll let you know. I've got my order in! It's at $2599 US if I'm not mistaken. Thanks again to Little B for all the help! Ooooooo, can't wait. I wonder how many are spoken for already.

Shark Diver, I must say you've got a mighty nice rack I've seen on both here and TGP . . . if you don't mind me commenting about your rack. Good to know rack heavyweights like you are looking at the Bad Cat, I feel like I'm in good company.

The switching on mine is not the normal 1/4" switch to ground,which i would prefer instead..Ive asked James for a conversion cable, but he hasnt gotten to it yet....I think when he made mine, he kinda thought it would be sittin on a console or something,like in a studio-it had huge rubber feet on it....But, mine is in a studio,only in a rack instead...there also wasnt any room for a lit logo which wouldve been nice...but he did a great job on it...it sounds stellar!

The short run is unfortunate. They'll likely be gone by the time I've got that coin.

You can always go through the custom shop....It'll take a long while( good for savin up that coin), and you could even order it a tad different than the limited run, if you wanted a feature or two that wasnt on the production models....there's always another way..

Very true. I agree about the crowds thing. Hope you get a chance to check out the preamp soon! Guess I might have to wait until the weekend is over to get the scoop on what Bad Cat is doing at NAMM. Isn't it funny how all this instant information we have available has made it so we have absolutely no patience? Maybe I should relax and go meditate. And by meditate, I mean practice!
