So some of you here know me n I've been using Diezel for 8 years. Herbert,Vh4 and Hagen. Herb being the favorite. Hundreds of shows with them nothing to complain about. I recently played a slew of Engl's while on tour at a couple diff music stores at solid volumes. Long story short the Fireball was really mind blowing. These are my first time playing Engl tried them all between the stores. SE is super cool but the Fireball had a new tone to my ears. It was crushing n gritty raw. I a/b it with herbert same can same guitar. Needless to say they are night n day n even though I've lived on herbert for 8 years alone this Engl just was a breath of fresh air. So had to go try it again to make sure it wasn't a moment. Again there it was just sonic brutality.

I now own an Engl Extreme Aggression n Engl Pro Cab thanks to a great deal Paul ( metalplums) n I worked out in person. Super Guy...

Huh who would of thunk I could part w Diezel.

Life goes on.

I always thought Engl amps sounded great, but I have heard so many nightmarish stories about tech issues and custy support.

Glad you went with the ENGL vs the Thrasher. I LOVED the Fireball 100 as well. Rig looks killa.

Being a huge Kreator fan, the extreme aggression has been on my short list since they came out. I've had a powerball, savage, and savage se. Glad to see you're digging that amp.

Aren't they limited to a run off 100?

How does the Extreme compare with the Fireball?

More gain.. I didn't get to play the 2 side by side but extreme has more gain def

I liked the Engl stuff I've played a lot. Been wanting to try a Retro 100 ever since Jason F's demo video.

cujo loves the gain, crank it up. Now when can I come up and TRY IT OUT..

Art the engl is totally diff sound than Diezel. Only took me forever to finally try one. The SE is cool a ass load of buttons n knobs. The fireball is no nonsense amp

You'll come back eventually to the Diezel family.

I'm good...thought this over very well. 8 years was a good run, maybe you should try an Engl

Did the Engl thing, wasn't impressed really. I haven't owned a Fireball though.

ENGL can sound good. Build quality is SOOOO bad it's laughable.

I played an ENGL Savage 120 and Powerball version 1 in stereo for 3 years straight, 250 shows and band practices and NEVER had a single issue... I had 5-6 Engl SE heads and all thier rack preamp gear too... 530, 570, 580. To this day NOTHING beats the Savage 120 for sheer brutality. I saw Dying Fetus with Hatebreed about two years ago and it was no contest. The guitarist in Dying Fetus had a Savage 120 and his tone Crushed everybody's. It was just sick. I'm a massive Hatebreed Fan too...
