Awesome man.....yeah the Fireball 100 is a violent amp for sure. And you got the deluxe edition..
It just brings this mean....nasty....take no prisoner tone to the table......am I right?
Making me want to get another one.

I was told by a dealer the Extreme is not the same as a Fireball. The layout looks the same but maybe the components are different or maybe the dealer doesn't know for sure, although he does know Engl amps in and out and is also a gigging player who has them all in his shop.

I liked the Engl stuff I've played a lot. Been wanting to try a Retro 100 ever since Jason F's demo video.

Yes.

I was impressed by demos of the Retro 50 also and I don't play any kind of Metal Tones or even high gain but the Retro sounds like a really warm versatile Amp with excellent cleans and in betweens and lots of Classic Tones from 60s thru 80s.

And fat British inspired Tones , without needing humungous Volume.

Only going by Demos, but the Classic 50 might be covering a lot of the same territory as Bogner Goldfinger, right ?

With or without the mid boost this amp just cuts like a mother fucker. The mid boost is very cool though. The clean channel is pretty sweet for an amp this nasty. I play the fireball 100 the EA has more gain n tweaked in mids. But I'd take either. Not enough to make or break a deal. I'm still shocked something bumped n sent my Herbert packing !
