So after 1 hour diezel-booth with Peter, Antonio Bernardini from the Band SOBER (totally nice guy!!! great guitarist!!) and some other dudes, i can say: THE HAGEN IS AWESOME!!!

It is the perfect mix of an open, uncompressed and a hifi, defined sound.
The gain structure is less "evil" and more raw then the Herb and yet has more definition then the VH4.
The high-end is just amazing. It can go from a sharp, but not harsh presence to a really creamy tone. Use the tone-knob, switch to the neck pick-up or use less pick attack to get this effect.

Overview:
Channel 1: Crystal clear to dirty clean really a lot low-end with the K100-cab. (but could be a hint brighter)
Channel 2: Nice and open crunch, very dynamic (like all the Diezel Ch2,2+ oder texas modes).
Channel 3: Perfect rock/metal rhythm! Slightly more compressed then Herbs 2- but remaining a nice percussive pick attack.
Channel 4: Awesome lead. endless sustain, yet very responsive to your picking. It doesn't feel as compressed as the VH4s Ch4 oder Herbs Ch3.

Hagen + Cab:
K100 FL: Really, really nice high-end, very fat but tight low-end. Works great together.
V30 FL: More rock'n roll character. More punchy mids. But it doesn't capture the high-end so well. (some might like that)
Hempcone RL: Surprisingly awesome! Very Clear sounding, covering every range of frequencies but not lacking contour. Imo the best choice for the Hagen.

Thanks to Diezel, especially Papa D, for creating this amazing amp!!

Thanks for the review!

I still mix Celestion 65's (Heritage or old ones) w V30's. Love it!

Nice review Kev. Sounds like another great amp from the Diezel master himself. The review confirms that the Herbert is still the champ and hard core beast for all around tonal heaven for my taste.

I'm looking forward to trying the Hagen some day.

thanks kev! nice to meet you there...
i must say that the hagen is my next main amp..., i cant wait for it, has everything always wanted in an amp, and more....
peter did it again...i´ve only kind words for all the diezel family, both peters, YOU ARE F@###IN AWESOME!!

and the hempcones....are just perfect in a band live escenario. cut thru the mix just in your face.

nice messe this year

Wow Berni, I'm really impressed if you are really thinking on choosing it as your main amp, instead of your Herberts!!!

What have you found different to your Herberts (or better)???

herberts are my main amps, but this new amp, fits me very well, is very tight and clear, and right now, i tend to clean the herberts, so i presume that hagen will do the work to the perfection.

but my herbies are with me forever....

I'm guessing this might sound pretty sweet through a Bogner RL V30 4x12...?? I've got a G12K-FL, a Fryette P50e (that's got it's own thang going on...); etc. But I'm eager to hear this more loose and raunchy head through an older-school design like that of the Boggy RL 4x12 with V30s

Shit. I'm running out of reasons to not buy this beast
