So after 1 hour diezel-booth with Peter, Antonio Bernardini from the Band SOBER (totally nice guy!!! great guitarist!!) and some other dudes, i can say: THE HAGEN IS AWESOME!!!
It is the perfect mix of an open, uncompressed and a hifi, defined sound.
The gain structure is less "evil" and more raw then the Herb and yet has more definition then the VH4.
The high-end is just amazing. It can go from a sharp, but not harsh presence to a really creamy tone. Use the tone-knob, switch to the neck pick-up or use less pick attack to get this effect.
Overview:
Channel 1: Crystal clear to dirty clean really a lot low-end with the K100-cab. (but could be a hint brighter)
Channel 2: Nice and open crunch, very dynamic (like all the Diezel Ch2,2+ oder texas modes).
Channel 3: Perfect rock/metal rhythm! Slightly more compressed then Herbs 2- but remaining a nice percussive pick attack.
Channel 4: Awesome lead. endless sustain, yet very responsive to your picking. It doesn't feel as compressed as the VH4s Ch4 oder Herbs Ch3.
Hagen + Cab:
K100 FL: Really, really nice high-end, very fat but tight low-end. Works great together.
V30 FL: More rock'n roll character. More punchy mids. But it doesn't capture the high-end so well. (some might like that)
Hempcone RL: Surprisingly awesome! Very Clear sounding, covering every range of frequencies but not lacking contour. Imo the best choice for the Hagen.
Thanks to Diezel, especially Papa D, for creating this amazing amp!!
