Good. lol. What is the major difference between the rev d and rev g?

Thanks for posting!

Were these boosted or were you plugged straight in?

I didn't compare the D to the G side by side, but i did compare the G to the F.
The G had the nicer clean, was more aggressive and had more gain but also was a bit more hollow-sounding.
I like the F more than the G. The D is brighter and tighter than the F. The F is the rounder, more complete amp compared to the D. But keep in mind that my F still has the 26 years old Mesa Tubes in it and the D runs on TAD 12ax7a-c and TAD EL34B-STR. That's how i got it. It was an ebay auction. The seller didn't even know what he had and luckily not many of the bidders either ;)

You're welcome! Straight in!

Recto sounds KILLER. Not really impressed by the Herbert but for whatever reason Diezels always sound better in person than clips. But wow the Recto sounds awesome.

Man, your clips always sound so good. I wouldn't kick either one of them out of bed but that Recto is sick. My favorite of the 2 for sure.

Thanks for the info. I have a Tremoverb, which from my understanding is similar to a rev g, but it needs a timmy to boost it.

The reverb is nice to have. And snagged it for $600 in perfect shape. Cheap is good.

Have you tried a bogner uberschall twin jet? I was gassing for one of those a while ago.

You're welcome. Yes it it is. It was the Flagship of that time. I need a boost for every amp. Except for the 5150III series, but i found them to be a bit sterile sounding. That's cheap. But we can get a used Diezel Hagen for around 14-1500 Bucks, over here, if we want to ;)
Yes, i had both the Rev Blue and the Twin. Twin went first and the Rev Blue followed after i got my Dual Rev F.
I liked the Rev Blue better than the Twin. The Twin was a bit weak sounding, compared to the Blue.

P.s.: Seems like the prices for the Diezels are dropping like crazy everywhere, at the moment.

So do you like the rev D better or the rev blue Uber?

Last comparison question, Uber or mkiii Herbert?

Rev D > Rev Blue > Herbert

I just uploaded another Rev D clip on Youtube. I have all the amps in my channel as well. And if you haven't seen it yet. Lasse did a Bogner/Mesa comparison.

Thanks for all of the info Simon. I appreciate it very much. There are hardly any diezels around here to demo. I have only played on a d moll and a vh4. Not long enough to get the full experience super diled in.
