Diezel rear loaded 2x12 question

Hi, I just got a Diezel rear loaded 2x12 used from a shop. My question is about which input to plug the amp into.

I'm new to stereo setups and the cab has the "Cliff" 4 lug jacks. The speakers are V30s at 16ohm each. Both speakers are connected to the right jack (input B). The left jack (red jack=input A/mono) has the + and - connected to the right jack. Sorry if it's confusing, but I hope the picture will explain everything.

So, is the cab wired properly? It doesn't look like the previous owner changed anything, but to me it looks like the mono input would be the right input instead of the left. Could the jacks have been switched around from the previous owner? Or does it even matter what input I plug into?
It looks like the speakers are wired in parallel to the right input which is labeled as input B at 16ohms, but it actually should be 8ohms right? Again, I'm probably wrong so I just want some confirmation that I can safely plug into the input A mono at 8ohms. I don't use stereo at all anyway. Thank you for the help and I hope I explained my problem well.

Red/left Input: both speakers in parallel = 8 Ohm mono.

When nothing (mono) is plugged into the right jack, then the signal goes to both speakers (both sides of the jack are connected to each other - in parallel).

Thanks duesentrieb. So the color code and label for the inputs on the jack plate don't really matter? It's only there to indicate the impedance of the speakers and the wiring?

Of course they matter.

Red = mono = 8 Ohm
In stereo mode you'd use both jacks and each side then is 16 Ohm.

OK, Thank you for clearing that up for me. I don't wanna make a mistake and ruin my amp. Thanks a lot!

It is always helpful for a gigging guitarist to get a cheap 10$ wal wart multimeter.
You can read the resistance (which is value wise a bit below the impedance, say 16 Ohm imp equals 13 Ohm resistance) to check speakers, cabs, cables and stuff . . .
