Digital has made rig rundown vids suck

When you compare into a 4x12, are you running the Quad through a tube amp's FX loop? Or through some kind of power amp like the Seymour Duncan?

When capturing both the amp and the QC capture are running thru a Seymour Duncan Powerstage 170. When A/B'ing them on a KHE whatever amp would be through it's own power, QC would be through the Powerstage. Either way I run it, they're extremely close. I now have captures of 3-4 different IIC+'s and I don't have to own those expensive ass amps anymore. :D

The only thing I'm starting to hate is the YouTube videos these guys put up and the screenshot to enter the vid shows them with a dumb look on their face and title says "Didn't expect this from Marshall, does it suck????", etc. and is just this huge baiting thing. You jump in there and the guy will fo a video for 30 minutes and at the end he loves it.

I'm not into the capture thing because you're capturing a specific sound from the amp. Not what the amp can actually do. Granted, a lot of metal guys will dial in two sounds (clean & destroy) on the 3/4 channel, 20 voicing Engl they have and never look back but I like simpler amps where they have several varied things going on depending on how you set the controls etc.

From a curiosity standpoint, I agree that a Dig rundown would be more interesting if they went further into the internal and external routing aspects.
