Digitech 2120 users?

anyone ever played one of these back in the day? how do they compare with the newer modeling technology? i can't afford a axe fx but looking for a good alternative.

i can't say about the 2120, but the gsp1101 is a good buy imo, the modelling is pretty good and the effects are very cool, you can probably find one used for a good price, and it's also very straightforward to use, of the newer modellers used it's certainly one the cheapest rack units out there
 
I had one for ten years. IMO at the time it was new it was ahead of the pack, now not so much.

It had tubes that we part of the preamp and made some really cool sounds but it never really did feel or sound like an amp.
 
I used to own one as well, just played another recently. IMO some of the factory patches on there were still pretty good and most were light years ahead of my POD (no surprise there :lol: :LOL: ) If I recall it has 200 patches, MIDI, a loop, it's stereo, and the effects can be routed to either side. For the price they go for now I think they're a steal. The only thing negative I'd have to say is that programming patches is a pain in the ass until you get the hang of it.
