At the end of the day I couldn't care who makes it but more importantly how it sounds!
wait till @Monkey Man hears his ...... I've got a proto type built ... been on my board for a few days now ... most of the time on Over Drive circuits just using top quality components brings a pedal to a new level ... this is definitely one of them .... according to my scope I lowered the noise floor quite considerably when I re-layed out my board for this .... I think the guys are going to like it .... and the LED clipping really opens it up .... giving you much more push when using it in the clean boost mode ( vol up - gain down )I'm waiting for the Digitech BADDEST Monkey (not a real thing, at least yet)

Doesn't DOD make this pedal not Digitech?I just picked up the Digitech Badder Monkey and ran it through its paces with my Marshall 2203. I don't have the original to compare to, but it sounds awesome!
Technically Digitech but they are the same company.Doesn't DOD make this pedal not Digitech?
I think I prefer my OG Bad Monkey over the SD1, OG Koko, Pepers Dirty Tree![]()
Wasn’t the bad monkey $39 when it came out?The OG is a fantastic pedal for sure
But I cannot understand what DigiTech/dod were smoking when they decided to release this pedal at 150$
The whole point is that it's a sleeper/giant killer at a reasonable price and isn't unobtanium

I think they were riding in the phony hype that the original BM was getting last year when the market for it was over inflated due to online gear chads.
I still have that same exact setup. I run my BM into my VK. I think it does a great job for in the room tight chugs. That's exactly what happened. Just goes to show you how shills and alts can jack up demand to make a $50 pedal $150. I paid $50 for mine new. It was my first pedal. Ran it into a Peavy Valveking.
Wow. Brings back a lot of memories. Looking for a pic now.I still have that same exact setup. I run my BM into my VK. I think it does a great job for in the room tight chugs.
