Dimarzio 59

Looks like they are made using more traditional methods and not using the new technologies that are in the 36th Anni's. They also have the PAF Masters which I think are just another flavor of 36th Anni's. I have a 36th Anni neck in a LP and a PAF Master bridge in the neck position of a Strat w/ Floyd. The PAF Master bridge model works really well in the neck of that guitar (paired with a Medium output bridge pickup).

They have only just been released. Apparently they are AWESOME ... I think there is a growing market for PAF's again (if it ever wasn't there)

I'm REALLY looking forward to these pickups. The Duncan 59 just has this way of making me hate it. David Allen makes a P51 Mustang which I think is so much better, but when I heard Dimarzio is releasing these, I put that plan on hold. I love Dimarzios. Their pickups are so damned good yet very affordable. The PAF Masters are VERY impressive, so this being a classic pickup design, has got me itching to get them. In fact, I just posted a new strat build and these may very well be the ones that go in it if they become available in the next few weeks.

Old thread but I put a PAF 59 bridge model in the neck position of my Les Paul and it's staying. Sounds awesome and perfectly matches the medium output bridge pickup I use. Warm, pretty top end; clear mids, full but not boomy bass.
