I've never been a big fan of the 498t and i absolutely love how my SG plays. Will the Dirty Fingers give me the extra output and girth i'm looking for?

Lots of choices for what your looking for , any reason your looking after a dirty fingers?

I read it was really hot compared to the 498t and it had the Quick Connect. Decided to order it at the price i found on ebay.

Yes it will. However, it is a one trick pony and doesn't clean up very well. Put an A8 magnet in your 498 and see how you like it. It's a good fit.

I really like the dirty fingers but they are indeed a one trick pony. They achieve very specific tones really well but everything in between doesn't sound too great... I eventually got rid of them because it wasn't what I wanted at the time or even now lol.

I love the DF in my les paul custom, did not care for it in SG or my Flying V, way too much midrange. So basically if you guitar is already mid heavy stay away from them and most SG's are. The 500T is more mid cut so might suit you better or maybe an Suhr Aldrich if the guitar is darker on the high end.

It just came in today and i get home in an hour and a half. Looking forward to the test run. I'm hoping the midrange will contrast with the mid-cut of the Herbert. We'll see i guess. :D
I love the 500T so if this doesn't sound that great that's where i'm headed.
