I was playing the CCV and coping some plexi tones and I thought, WTF? I own a real plexi, no need to try and copy those tones...and to me, the CCV is not some kind of Marshall clone in a Marshall style headbox, it is a killer 2+ channel custom designed tone machine. So I started thinking outside of the box and it brought me to mess around with the 3 way voicing switch. I usually leave it to the left for the most gain, but not tonight. I moved it to the right (mid gain) and changed all of the settings. The tone was super tight in both clipping stages. I ended up going mid clipping for clarity... but I wanted more gain. I pulled out the TIM pedal and BAM! The tone was tight as hell, yet had some sag to make it really fun to play.

I ended up slaving and used some chorus for shits and giggles. I was having a blast playing Miracle Man by Ozzy. So much chunk and attack. Even the solo was easy to play with this tone. The CCV still amazes me.
