Saw them in New Hampshire on Saturday. Epic show. DLR band sounded great, as did KISS and the stage, lights, pyro, etc. for KISS were the best I’ve ever seen.

Mr. Estrada certainly did the DLR/VH material to perfection plus he added some tasty bits of his own. I only wish they had time for more songs.

I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend seeing this tour if it comes to your area. The quality of the production and just getting lost in a night of amazing music is worth the price of admission.

seen a million comments on Twitter about how bad Dave sounded but honestly from the videos I have seen he sounds fine...the comments are surprising given Twitter is a cesspit. I often wonder if 99% of the people that comment on there (and Blabbermouth) have never even been to a concert and can't grasp the concept that not to many people can sing just like the record and that is what makes music great

I think he sounded fine. I wasn’t looking for who could or couldn’t still hit every note, who was using vocal tracks, etc. I’m in the camp that I’m just happy to be able to still see some of the bands from my youth and it’s even better that I get to bring my son whose currently 12 and learning to play guitar himself.

The sheer spectacle of that concert is something I know neither of us will never forget.

As a huge Kiss fan who's seen them so many times I can't remember I had decided years ago to not see them with Tommy. Nothing against the guys, I support their right or any bands right to do what they want I just wasn't into the lineup. And frankly, hard to see/hear your hero's age.

However, since it was the "last" tour, I figured my son needed to see a good concert and the production was tops. As good as anything I've ever seen. Although the stage itself was somewhat of a let down, the entire production was incredible. Would have loved to seen Roth open for them as the first round of the tour they had a "painter" as the opening act. Weird to say the least. Still incredible production even with Pauls vocal help.

Same here taking my son. He'd seen a few rap concerts, country etc... so I lifted my self imposed Kiss live exile and it was well worth. He still talks about the show. As the old "ad" says, it was priceless.

Agreed gentlemen. The bonding and exposing the young ones to a genuine full-blown rock concert is priceless. The bar has been set high though. I remember several years back my wife and I went to see KISS and a few days later we saw the Zack Brown Band. ZBB was amazing and sounded just like the album, but we kept waiting for something to explode!!

I think some of the early shows were pretty horrible for DLR from what I have seen but in this one he is fine. I am more shocked at how basic his back drop is. Even pub bands have a banner? Also, what is with the rythm guitarist that you essentially can't hear?

I hope DLR gets better and hopefully transforms slowly back into his old rock self and less like the lounge lizard thing.

I saw KISS a few months ago and two years ago. Both shows were epic! I saw the sixth show on the reunion tour in 96' and then saw them again in 97', saw the 3D Psycho Circus tour and the "Farewell" tour in 99' or 2000. This last show was unbelievable. The explosions were the loudest I have heard and rivaled the AC/DC cannons. It was insane. I was cringing every time I knew an explosion part was coming up.

Recent quote from Diamond Dave. He basically concedes that he knows his voice is not there. He also makes a bit of a comment about Eddie - but nothing new. :dunno:

When asked if he's thinking about retiring from the road like his tourmates KISS, David replied:

"At my age, everything is a possible farewell tour... I've never had any delusions about my voice. It sounds like four miles of flat road with knobby tires.

"Mom used to say that; in fact, she said it last week. However, some people's definition of perfect vocals might be pristine and pretty like Adam Lambert.

"My definition of absolutely the best vocal in the last 20 years is [sung off-key like Biz Markie]: 'Girl, you got what I need! And you say he's just a friend...'"

When asked about Eddie Van Halen, Roth briefly replied:

"You know what I know. Ed, God bless him, may have a fair amount of time ahead of him, but going out on the road is an unforgiving task. It kills people."

Another recent article more geared to how he and Gene Simmons saw things a bit differently as it relates to Gene's claim that he 'discovered' Van Halen.
