You can look at the prices of everything @ say www.woolworths.com.au

You can even probably look up the price of a kangaroo steak lol - they aren't everyday fare... however I've bought them a few times in my life.
Woolworths is a grocery store there ? You really are polar opposites.

And how can you not eat fish ? You're surrounded by them. :giggle:

Fish is pretty pricey but yeah I'd have that more than lamb... maybe once every few months in one form or another.

Woolworths, Coles, Aldi and IGA would be the biggest ones here I guess... Aldi and IGA have a smaller presence than the first two. We have a few Costco's scattered around too.

Also the sharks eat all the fish so there aren't many left ;-)

We have Aldi and IGA, but Costco is a members only thing like Sam's Club. There hasn't been a Woolworths here in my memory and when they were it was a drug store.

I don't know that I've ever eaten lamb.

Lamb is not my favourite meat that's for sure but it has its place. It's ok when it's marinated or roasted for a sunday roast - but I don't like greasy "lamb chops". I'm a member of costco... got cheap-er hearing aids and glasses there.

Dude, you've missed out.

Distinct overall flavour, stronger in adult sheep (mutton), but my fave thing about it is when the fat is rendered nicely.
The only lamb I really have mixed feelings about is undercooked lamb, or back in the 70s growing up we (specifically my Mum) used to get lamb chops and grill them under the electric griller under the oven (back when you had a separate electric grill under the oven) ie. grilled chops... It had a very distinctive smell and these days I don't remember it real fondly.

Lamb cutlets were kind of ok... they were crumbed lamb chops with the bone in.

Now another dish we used to have growing up would you believe is crumbed deep fried lambs brains - and I'm not even kidding. People these days would have trouble believing that I think.

Yup, same here mate - gotta be well-cooked and of course that tasty fat rendered.

Roast leg with rosemary and mint sauce. Chops. Yum.

lamb is one of my favorites. our business dinners with clients usually go to high end steak houses which usually have lamb on the menu, and I usually get rack of lamb, medium rare.

Domestic US lamb has a milder flavor vs UK, NZ and AU lamb; imported lamb is tough to find where I live; lamb in general isn't popular here. I've had to special order rack of lamb from Fresh Market or Whole Foods here unless it's around Easter.

I moved away from the cold and snow; I was in Tampa for client meetings earlier this week and it was 39F in the morning. We're having a cold spell in the southeast US, it's 34F now...it usually doesn't get below freezing here, and we've had snow (< 1") maybe 2-3 times in the last 100 years here.

A new Aussie lamb ad just dropped a few days ago and it's a beauty!

Sam Kekovich of course. Couldn't find a full copy of it yet.
