Not quite accurate dude. He was forced to “ do something”. Of course he was duped by the leftists and the media, but if you recall his first reaction was to tell everyone not to overreact. Which in hindsight seems to be the best path we could have taken.

He has generally good instincts (apart from picking a loyal and competent cabinet it would seem). But look at what happened. Trump did it. He is responsible. And don't forget Trump's bump stock ban for example, or his personally signed "Stimmy" checks.

Again, pressure from the left/ media. In the end optics is what took him out. His callousness about Covid ( which was less than the degree you yourself exhibit) is a large piece of the stick they beat him to death with.

That's my point though — he will bend and do the exact opposite thing that's good for us and then try to sell it like it's the best thing ever. Isn't he still touting the goddam vaccines? And his followers won't say shit because he's like the messiah or whatever.

Don't forget about how early on he wanted to ban incoming flights from areas with higher outbreaks and the media called him racists. Then when infections started running rampant all of a sudden there was a call to ban incoming flights and they cried at him why didn't you do this sooner.
 
Trump is the perfect guy to neutralize any real resistance precisely because he is popular among people who would otherwise resist.

As for his followers I don’t really know. I never actually met any. It seems to me all the same kinda shit from both sides we heard during W v Gore and Obama v whichever RINO piece of shit was running against him. Do you not recall people making allowances for McCain even though he was a piece of shit as a politician ? Most of us know Trump is a self serving egotistical douche bag. I didn’t agree with the bump stock ban even though I have no use for them. The NRA did though. In the beginning. Because to appear callous to the Vegas shooting is not something a politician or highly publicized civil rights group can recover from easily. I don’t recall W voters or McCain voters being labeled followers. They were the lesser of two evils. Same as now.

The fact is Trump is our ONLY choice.
 
Douchebag is an online predator who found himself in trouble with the law for stalking people for numerous years.
He would create new accounts for that sole purpose after he was banned on numerous forums, not just here.
Turns out it was more than one person that he was doing it to.
His pedo filled laptop probably didn't help him much.

Unbanning him from the site doesn't allow him back here.
The mods are cool, but they aren't law enforcement or judges.
So, it's not within their power.
He can come back, but he will go to jail for doing so. No pass go.

Certain members defend him to this day as if any of it was okay or normal.
One pretends like he has no clue why people don't like Douchebag.
Another constantly attacks one of the victims who just wanted to be left alone.
Says a lot about them.
Most of those losers don't even play the guitar.
Many are just here to troll and run circular arguments to waste people's time.

I think Trump at least used to have a true following unlike any president in modern history with the exception perhaps of early Obama. A genuinely good leader should be able to effectively and persuasively defend principles. Voting for the lesser of two evils is still voting for evil. Trump isn't our only choice. In fact digging into to the two party paradigm is what keeps this system afloat. I don't vote. I am a contentious objector. What percentage vote now? At some point it becomes undeniable that "our democracy" is a sham. There is also peaceful non-compliance and civil disobedience. Continuing to speak out. Putting hope in someone like Trump is a horrible idea in my opinion.
