It sounds to me like Don needs another cigarette. Interesting interview you have to take it for what it's worth there are 2 sides to every story

Saw Dokken live last Friday, Don Dokken is like watching a corpse perform!! George saved there asses the last three songs!!

Always find it humorous when people pay money to see a 70 year old guy that has been through major surgeries and cancer, and are dissapointed that he's still not at the top of his game. That's like me telling Michael Jordan he sucks because he can't dunk from the free throw line anymore.

Jon Levin is normally the guitarist and totally rips. He does George's solos better than when George sits in. How was it that George saved their asses? Just curious. Thanks.

So back in the 00's I was at the Rainbow bathroom taking a shit. So I am done with it and I walk out of the stall and there's this old guy pissing in the urinal. I walk past him and start washing my hands. I glance at the mirror and the guy is now right behind me waiting for his turn to wash his hands.
Because it's just the 2 of us in the bathroom and I am a polite person, I acknowledge him and say "hi how are you?". His face immediately lights up because he thought I recognized him ( I didn't) and he says " Hi I am Don Dokken" with his hand out for me to shake. I say "no offense Don Dokken, but you were just holding your dick with that hand" and walk out.
And that is my Don Dokken story.

That guy has the life….good enough to moonlight in Dokken by night and make big bucks as an entertainment attorney by day.

Don & George have rocked more Global venues than practically anyone left alive. Hard to deny.

Jon Levin is the man, when it comes to re-creating the man.

Hey, if I could have a lucrative musical career aping an icon, I would do it. And Lynch aint easy. I've had a non-lucrative musical career trying to ape George Lynch.

Don Sucks tho. He should check out.

I said the very same thing in regards to Levin in a Lynch post.
Levin is more than just a Lynch impersonator in my opinion. He can stand on his own and rip with the best of them. If you listen to any of the Dokken albums with him on them he has the ability to give the Lynch vibe but his own style shines through too. Here's a great example. Enjoy!

Lynch was my favorite player for so long !
His vibrato was just insane !
He played with such passion !
I just kinda got tired of his writing and mostly mediocre LPS in my opinion.
I still love what he's done and his mark he left.
I just got tired of not only his LPS with one good song and his crazy victim politics.
Levin for the win !
