Going to see Dokken with Lynch playing with Don tomorrow night.....

Well..... Don pulled a Don Dokken....the show was advertised as if George Lynch was playing the entire show.....George came out at the end of the show and played 3 songs:thumbsdown:.....

Jon Levin played the entire show.....he kicked ass as always and his Marshall DSL's sounded great, he always has great tone and he had a ripping main solo..........George played well with fire but his the first amp he plugged into had issues and had no gain, so he then plugged into Jon Levin's amp with George's pedalboard and the amp tone had less gain, growl and grind than when Levin was playing through it.:dunno:

The crowd would occasionally shout WHERE's George but they stayed respectful for the most part......Don's best moment was doing an interlude of 'THE END' by the Doors, he actually did that well with that one sounded quite like Morrison..... The bass player earned his money singing backup with Don all night.

The band was good and I enjoyed the show but I knew not too expect much out of Don but he did alright.
Worked lmao

Hard River where are you at ? They just played my hobo town on Thursday ?
I seen them at the Arcada Theater in St. Charles Illinois. Dokken did not fill the theater, there were alot of open seats, we had first row balcony which were great but $112 dolllars a pop with all the fees. My buddy says almost all the tickets are up there now pricewise. He said nosebleed seats for AC/DC at soldiers field was $300 each......

It was still a good show the band was tight and Levin almost does a better Lynch than Lynch at times and his amp tones are totally in line with Back for the Attack IMHO. George actually played pretty good but he was in one of those growth modes again where he really reached for things that sometime doesn't work but he usually course corrects and turns it into a win somehow.

Don should have let George George play a full set after Levin's big solo, I think 7-10 of their biggest hits with George would have made the crowd happy but I guess Don only pays George for 3 songs and this will of course piss of what's left of his fanbase.

Yep... it sure did. Maybe it's his last tour to make as much as he can but once that it's out that Lynch only plays 3 songs most Lynch fans are going to stay home. I still enjoyed the show so that was fine with me, we had a good dinner and some drinks and caught up on life before the show!:2thumbsup::rock:

My first show ever was Dokken on the TAN tour with Sammy Hagar. Dokken smoked. They were so good. Hope you have a similar experience.

I have tickets for Pat Travers and Schenker .
Stoked to see them both.
I seen Pat Travers at a little PO Dunk bar in Akron Ohio in 1990 and he tore it up, he played his ass off. I recently seen MSG with Schenker in 2018 with all the different MSG singers over the years and that was killer show as well!

I saw Lynch Mob open up for Schenker a few years back.
It was funny. Lynch had a wall of boutique amps and cabs, giant pedalboard that his roadie was switching side-stage. He played with fingerless gloves on and his roadie even lit cigarettes for him and brought them out on stage.
You could barely hear Lynch in the mix.

Schenker came out with one guitar, two 2210 half stacks, and a wah pedal and crushed. Perfect tone that fit in the mix. Great performance and show.
